Recently I read the book The Da Vinci Code. Robert Langdon, the main character, goes through a long search following religious symbols. In this novel the cults and priests he meets go so far to give up their lives for what they believe in. My question for you is what would you give your life for if anything?
If I was to give my life up for anyone it would probably be my family. The relationship that I have with my family is much like a very close friendship between all of us. Without them I would feel as though a part of me was missing. All of my life they have been there for me and I would gladly give up my life for them because the love that I have for them is so great.
ReplyDeleteIf i was going to give up my life, the only thing i would give it up for is my family. It would have to be a very bad situation and I would have to be 100% sure it was the right decision to make. I think that life is way to good of a thing to make stupid decisions and just throw your life away. But if its for a good cause and you are sure its the right reason then go for it.
ReplyDeleteThere are only a few things i would give my life for and one of them would be my sweet angel of a mother. She is the best thing I have in my life and would do anything to protect her. I can't explain how thankful I am for her. I feel blessed each day when I see her smiling face each and every morning o:)
ReplyDeleteI would not give up my life for anything. I don't think this is selfish, I just feel that if it is my time to go, it's my time to go! And if it isn't, then I'm going to keep on breathing! Saying that you would "give up you life for family/friends" sounds perfect as of right now, but would they like that? You would now be gone and I don't think that they would appreciate that more.
ReplyDeleteThe whole idea of death is contrived in that we dont forsurely know what is going to happen after. It's nice something to be scared of, but it's not our favorite thing to embrace.
